August 16th 9pm at the Otto Bar 2549 n Howard street Baltimore MD, with live music from Pasadena, Shore Line, 3 Fiths and Minlus and McCracken
Baltimore’s Best Hip Hop performing duo Pro&Reg announce the local release of their full length album “Life of a Vagabond”. Up Tempo Rock and Roll influenced tracks with advanced lyricism can be found on Life of a Vagabond, but the album is much more than that. This album is about growing up with Hip Hop and the negative and positive struggles in American society. Pro & Reg is Hip Hop at its best, based off the creative 90’s style with versatility to cross into rock, punk and krunk with a twist of new.
Pro&Reg are not new to the Baltimore music scene. Pro also known as Proton was one of the original hosts of Baltimore’s best Hip Hop event the “Elements party”. Reg aka Regulus is the lead vocalist from Knomatik, a crew that has been rocking the Recher and Otto bar since 2004. They joined forces in 2006 to launch independent Hip hop music worldwide with promotional help from foundation media. They first came on to the national Hip Hop scene in 2007 with the number one college radio single Bricks to Bmore feat. Newark New Jersey’s own Tame One of the legendary Artifacts. They followed that with an EP last year and now finally the full length album is upon us in 08 and it was definitely worth the wait.
“With a decidedly pleasing throw-back approach these two Baltimore MCs team up with DJ Addikt on their latest EP, "Bricks 2 Bmore" and bring tight rhymes and wit back to the forefront.” Schuyler Lindberg Urb magazine.
“Mixing a wall of head-nodding noise and some lickety-split quick rhymes, "Bricks to Bmore" is as energetic as energetic is.” Brandon Perkins Urb Magazine
“Pro & Reg - "Real Ain't Always Right" (mp3)I like this song, it actually make a pretty convincing, logical argument about why rap lyrics should do something for the community instead of just being amoral gangsta shit.
“Life of A vagabond” will only be available through Pro&Reg directly, at the ottobar on august 16th or at Soundgarden music store in Fell’s Point.
